1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to NaijaTradeHut, including but not limited to its content, design, databases, systems, software, methodologies, educational materials, templates, reports, graphics, logos, trade secrets, processes, business models, market intelligence, research compilations, user interfaces, workflows, and proprietary frameworks are and shall remain the exclusive property of its parent company, Data Innovations Nigeria.

NaijaTradeHut is a proprietary digital product developed, owned, managed, and protected under the intellectual property ownership of Data Innovations Nigeria and all rights not expressly granted to users are reserved.

2. Protected Materials

The following materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, database, and intellectual property laws:

  • Trade opportunities and market intelligence reports

  • Business directories and supplier databases

  • Export and import intelligence reports

  • Business templates and documentation

  • Training materials and learning resources

  • Premium guides and industry reports

  • Pricing intelligence and market research

  • Graphics, videos, illustrations, and photographs

  • Website design and layout

  • Logos, slogans, trademarks, and branding elements

  • Membership structures and subscription models

  • Software systems and digital infrastructure

  • Artificial intelligence outputs generated specifically for subscribers

  • Proprietary scoring, ranking, filtering, and recommendation systems

  • Business methodologies and operational processes

  • Any future enhancements, upgrades, modules, or derivative products developed by Data Innovations Nigeria.

3. Copyright Protection

All content published on NaijaTradeHut is protected by international copyright laws and Nigerian intellectual property legislation.

Subscribers are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform solely for their personal or internal business purposes.

Subscribers do not acquire ownership rights over any content, data, materials, or intellectual property by virtue of purchasing a subscription.

  • Present proprietary information as their own work.

  • Mirror or duplicate any portion of the platform.

5. Database Rights

The compilation, arrangement, categorization, and organization of data contained within NaijaTradeHut constitute proprietary databases developed through significant investment of time, expertise, and resources by Data Innovations Nigeria.

Unauthorized extraction, copying, downloading, harvesting, republication, or reuse of substantial portions of these databases is strictly prohibited.

Even where individual pieces of information may exist in the public domain, the unique collection, arrangement, and presentation of such information remain proprietary intellectual property.

6. Trade Secrets and Confidential Information

Users shall not disclose, replicate, analyze for replication purposes, or use such proprietary information to create competing products or services.

together with their associated logos, taglines, symbols, visual identities, and branding elements constitute valuable intellectual property and may not be used without prior written authorization from Data Innovations Nigeria.

Unauthorized use that may cause confusion, imply endorsement, suggest affiliation, or dilute the brand value is prohibited.

8. Improvements and Feedback

Any suggestions, recommendations, feature requests, ideas, feedback, or improvement proposals submitted by users regarding NaijaTradeHut may be freely used, implemented, modified, commercialized, or incorporated into current or future products by Data Innovations Nigeria without compensation, acknowledgment, or ownership claims by the submitting party.

9. Employee and Contractor Contributions

Any software, reports, research, content, databases, graphics, algorithms, documentation, or materials created by employees, consultants, freelancers, contractors, or partners for NaijaTradeHut in connection with their engagement shall be considered “work made for hire” and shall become the exclusive property of Data Innovations Nigeria unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Enforcement Rights

Data Innovations Nigeria actively monitors and protects its intellectual property rights and reserves the right to pursue:

  • Account suspension or termination.

  • Removal of unauthorized content.

  • Injunctions and court orders.

  • Monetary damages.

  • Recovery of legal fees and enforcement costs.

  • Criminal prosecution where applicable.

  • Reporting infringing activities to hosting providers, domain registrars, payment processors, advertising networks, and regulatory authorities.

11. Survival of Obligations

Intellectual property obligations survive the expiration, cancellation, suspension, or termination of a user’s subscription or account.

Termination of access does not grant any rights to retain, distribute, or exploit previously accessed proprietary materials.

12. Reservation of Rights

All rights, titles, and interests in and to NaijaTradeHut and all associated technologies, methodologies, systems, and content remain exclusively vested in Data Innovations Nigeria.

Nothing contained within the platform, subscription agreement, or terms of use shall be interpreted as transferring ownership of any intellectual property to users, subscribers, partners, or third parties.

13. Anti-Competition Clause

Subscribers, partners, employees, contractors, and third parties shall not use information obtained through NaijaTradeHut to develop, operate, finance, support, or promote any competing product, platform, database, marketplace, or intelligence service substantially similar to NaijaTradeHut for a period permitted under applicable law.

14. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Intellectual Property Rights Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts within Nigeria.

15. Statement of Ownership

NaijaTradeHut is a proprietary intellectual asset developed and owned exclusively by Data Innovations Nigeria.

All technologies, concepts, methodologies, business models, trade intelligence systems, databases, software components, visual assets, and derivative works associated with the platform are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Data Innovations Nigeria.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, replication, or commercialization of any part of the platform is strictly prohibited and may result in civil and criminal liability under applicable intellectual property laws.
